The work of Adam Cady, a student at Trinity School, Croydon, has been commissioned by Croydon BID as part of its ‘Festive Fantasia’ project.

Adam’s work, inspired by Croydon’s crocus-growing history, is being projected in Croydon’s town centre alongside other large scale animations.

Using the colour purple, a predominant colour for crocuses, Adam created his Croydon skyline piece using spray paint and masking tape.

On being chosen, he said: “Out of the many people that could have been chosen I am honoured to have been selected for this project.  Croydon is developing into a cultural centre and it’s fantastic to be playing a part in it, with art that is accessible to everyone.”

Alison Fulker, Adam’s Art Teacher at Trinity, said: “I am extremely proud of Adam – seeing him develop over these past few years has been a delight.  He is even now inspiring other younger pupils with his work, which is fantastic.”

‘Festive Fantasia’ is the focal point of five weeks of ‘Christmas Spectacular’ celebrations organised by Croydon Business Improvement District (BID) in conjunction with Croydon Council. You can see Adam’s work Wednesday to Saturday, at the top of Croydon High Street, from 4:30pm – 8:30pm until 23rd December.
