Trinity School is delighted to have been awarded Steinberg Certified Training Centre status. Steinberg are the developers of industry-standard Cubase music sequencing software, which is used by countless professional musicians including film composer Hanz Zimmer.

Richard Llewellyn (Steinberg UK Education Manager) was delighted to present Trinity’s Headmaster Alasdair Kennedy with their Steinberg Certified Training Centre certificate in December 2016.

Trinity’s Music Department is one of the best known in the UK. Famous for the Trinity Boys’ Choir, and honoured to be an accredited All-Steinway school, the department provides outstanding opportunities for all young musicians. The School’s music ICT labs all run Steinberg’s Cubase Pro software alongside Steinberg Audio Interfaces, giving pupils the professional tools to record and produce their own music.

As part of the Certified Training Centre Status, the School will be able to award free copies of Cubase Elements to all pupils studying GCSE and A-Level Music, so that they are able to continue their work started at school at home.

Lewis Brito-Babapulle, Head of Academic Music at Trinity, said: “We are delighted to become a Steinberg Certified Training Centre in preparation for the opening of our new Music block later this year. Steinberg’s Cubase software will give our students outstanding facilities to realise their musical compositions professionally across the widest possible range of styles.”
