Our world is changing faster than ever before. The world we live in today would be unrecognisable to our Founder John Whitgift, who first began his charitable mission to educate and care for the people of Croydon over 420 years ago.
That’s why this year, we look to our past and ask ourselves what role we should play in this changing world. In our Annual Journal for 2018/19, we unveil our new brand identity and give an introduction to the updated vision, mission and values for our charity.
We highlight yet another year of fantastic achievements from our three schools across academia, music, sport and drama. Across our care services, we bring you the stand-out stories from the past year, including a variety of activities and events enjoyed by Whitgift Care residents, and how Carers Information Service provided invaluable support to Croydon’s 33,000 carers through Carers Week health and wellbeing events and a new forum launch.
We also take a look back at some exciting community projects, including Capturing Croydon’s pilot year and the forthcoming launch of the John Whitgift Foundation Community Cube at the newly refurbished Fairfield Halls.
